Who we are
This website belongs to Bill’s Bar & Bistro, 208 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Bill’s Bar & Bistro.
What we collect
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people find and use this site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, what device they use and how they move around the page. This data is not used to identify you.
If you email, call, message us on WhatsApp or send an enquiry through our Private dining page, we keep what you send us (such as your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry) so we can reply and look after your booking or event. Enquiries from the website reach our inbox through Resend, an email service that handles them on servers outside Hong Kong.
If you join our email list, we keep your email address so we can send you news from Bill’s, starting with when bookings open.
Our email list
We use Klaviyo to keep our email list and send our emails. Klaviyo holds your email address for us on servers outside Hong Kong and only uses it to send the emails we ask it to.
We only add you if you sign up yourself. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us and ask to come off the list. Either way, we’ll stop sending you marketing emails, free of charge.
Bookings
Table bookings are made through SevenRooms, OpenRice and Google. When you book through them, they collect your details under their own privacy policies and share what we need to look after your visit.
Cookies
We only set analytics cookies if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose No thanks, we remember that choice with one small cookie and set nothing else. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Maps on the Visit page only load from Google when you choose Show the map.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Enquiries and correspondence are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and then deleted. If you join our email list, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct it. We will reply within 40 days.
