If you didn’t grow up in Australia, chicken salt might sound strange. If you did, a bowl of chips without it probably feels unfinished.
What it is
Ours is made in-house with dried chicken stock, onion, garlic, celery salt and a little paprika for colour. It goes on the chips, the potato scallops and, if you ask nicely, almost anything else.
Why it’s on our chips
Because chips are the first thing most people order and the last thing they forget. A good chip is crisp outside, fluffy inside and seasoned the moment it leaves the fryer, while the salt still sticks.
